Dr. Prince and Kim, dental assistant are again invoved in the career day for 7th and 8th grade girls on Feb. 23, 2010. This day is to help young women stay interested in the science and math fileds by showing them careers that have science and math as necessary backgrounds. It's a fun day for us with three breakout sessios. The girls get to take impression, place sealants and give injections to oranges. Alll very exciting.
On February 4 our office provided over $9000 worth of dental treatment to over 60 kids from the age of 0-18. THis day is in conjuction with the American Denal Associations "GIve Kids A Smile Day". Is purpose is to provide access to care to any children regardless of the ability to pay. We did our exams and cleanings and discovered treatment needs. We are now in the process of contacting parents to help them get these needs met. It was a great day for everyone.
